Purpose
1) Experience the process of designing and conducting a simple study in a collective experience
2) Learn individually to critically evaluate strengths and weaknesses of research methods based on the experience with the study.
Overview
This semester, you will work in research teams to design and conduct a survey study on a communication topic.
As a group, you will:
1) Generate a broad topic for the project
2) Hold regular discussions about the topic and its various dimensions as well as the appropriate method for study
3) Collect data via a survey you distribute electronically
4) Analyze and interpret data
Final Research Paper
Length: 15-21 pages (not including references)
Parameters: Times New Roman, 12-point font, 1″ margins, double-spaced, APA style

- Conclusion (1 page)
